The Angola Parks Department announced on Wednesday that several events slated to take place in early June have been cancelled.
In a social media post, officials said that after much deliberation they were unfortunately having to make the decision to cancel several events including Pig Out in the Park, as well as Pickleball Class on June 4th. The Hubie Ashcraft Band Live in Commons Park scheduled for June 5th, and Yoga in the Park on June 6th are cancelled as well.
All pavilions, park restrooms, playgrounds, pickleball courts, softball diamonds and basketball courts will remain CLOSED until June 14th. Commons Hall rentals will only allow a 75% capacity after June 14th and will remain in effect until July 3rd.
The Angola Summer Recreation Program will not start as planned on June 8th and future consideration will be made and be reevaluated after July 3rd. Angola Parks officials are asking the public to please remain patient with them as we navigate through these uncertain times. All events are subject to change as we move forward.
