Warmer Temperatures Are Back, But Some Frost Possible Wednesday
By: Sheila McCrea - Tuesday, May 12, 2020

According to the National Weather Service, quiet weather will persist Tuesday into Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure settles across the region. Forecasters say areas of frost will be possible again tonight into early Wednesday morning for some parts of our listening area.

As this high shifts east midweek, moderating temperatures can be expected with afternoon high temperatures by Wednesday into the upper 50’s to mid 60’s, and into the upper 60’s to mid 70’s by Thursday.

Along with the moderating temperatures will come periodic higher chances of showers and thunderstorms from Wednesday night into Saturday.

A record low temperature of 29 degrees (for May 12) was set Tuesday morning in Fort Wayne, IN. This broke the old record of 31 degrees set in 1946.
