Tuesday Indiana COVID-19 Numbers Push Past 25,000 Cases In State

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced on Tuesday that 566 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at ISDH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and private laboratories. That brings the total number of cases within the state to 25,127 known to have the novel upper respiratory infection.

A total of 1,444 Hoosiers have been confirmed to have died of COVID-19, an increase of 33 over the previous day. Another 134 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

As of Tuesday's release, 62 cases have been confirmed within Steuben County, 41 cases in LaGrange County, 136 in Noble County, and 24 in DeKalb County. The largest population of cases within Northeast Indiana remains in Allen County which includes Fort Wayne with 867 cases.
