INDIANAPOLIS, IN – There were 25 new cases of coronavirus reported in Northeast Indiana from Thursday to Friday.
The Indiana State Department of Health says there are 2 new cases in LaGrange County. That makes 48 people who have coronavirus and 2 people who have died.
Noble County has 3 more cases, which brings the number of people infected to 147. There were also 2 more deaths, which makes 19 people who have died. In Steuben County, no new cases have been reported, keeping the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 at 66. There have also been 2 people who have died from the virus.
DeKalb County has no new cases, which means they have 25 cases of coronavirus and 1 death. Elkhart County is reporting they have 20 new cases, bringing their total number of people infected to 609. There have been 22 deaths in Elkhart County.
Statewide, 614 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected, bring the state total to 26,655 cases. 42 more deaths are also being reported, which makes the total number of people who have died from the virus 1,550.
The State Department of Health says 5,236 new COVID-19 tests were done in Indiana. 165,448 people have been tested in the Hoosier State with 16.1 percent of the tests coming back positive.
