Motorcycle Driver Injured After Encounter With Deer

BUTLER, IN - A motorcycle driver was injured after a deer ran into it’s path Saturday night.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, a motorcycle driven by Twila Robinet, age 51 of Butler, was southbound in the 1500 block of State Road 1 when a deer ran into the roadway. Reports indicate she tried to avoid a collision which caused her to lay the bike down.

Robinet was transported by EMS to Parkview Regional Medical Center with complaints of head and back pain. She was not wearing a helmet.

The accident happened Saturday night just before 10 p.m.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Butler Police Department, Parkview DeKalb EMS, and the Butler Fire Department.
