FREMONT, IN — Santa had such a good time during his first official visit to Steuben County last week, he is making plans to come back to the area this weekend.
Mr. Claus will be making his way to Fremont this Saturday on December 5th. Santa will see children from the safety of their family vehicles at the pavilion at the Fremont High School’s football field from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will be a drive-through event with nobody exiting their cars. Santa will be at the pavilion waving to the children and receiving Christmas letters and wish lists.
The traditional parade in Fremont with Santa will not take place this year.
During the drive by Santa experience, the Fremont Legion Auxiliary will be handing out cookies and drinks and the Fremont Public Library will have a book and craft for each child attending.
Those attending are asked to also bring a non-perishable food item to donate for the Fremont Youth and Community Outreach Food Pantry.
