KENDALLVILLE, IN - Much of Noble County and surrounding counties were in a stir Sunday night after reported loud booms.

Authorities in Noble County say a man shooting off Tannerite was the source of loud booms. Many area residents were discussing the matter over social media saying it sounded like “some sort of explosion”, which was heard not only in the vicinity of Kendallville but also in parts of Southern Steuben County and LaGrange County, as well as Auburn.

Authorities in Noble County tracked down the source of the "booms" to a man on Strater Road outside of Kendallville who was reportedly shooting off Tannerite.
