Magistrate Randy Coffey Presented Special Award from the Governor’s Office

ANGOLA, IN - Steuben County Magistrate Randy Coffey was presented a special award this week from the state of Indiana.

Magistrate Coffey has been named as a recipient of the Distinguished Hoosier Award from Governor Eric J. Holcomb. The award was presented by Indiana State Representative Denny Zent on behalf of Governor Holcomb.

Coffey is retiring from his post as Steuben County Magistrate, which was publically announced in November. He held the position for roughly 25 years, since the inception of the Magistrate’s Office in July 1995.

Coffey’s last official day as Steuben County Magistrate is on Thursday, December 31st.

Even after his retirement from his current post, he plans to serve as a senior judge, where he will fill in for special assignments.

Coffey will also continue as a radio sportscaster for both local high school football and basketball.
