Change In LaGrange County Commission Leadership
By: Mike Stiles - Thursday, December 31, 2020

LAGRANGE – The LaGrange County Commission will have a new leader for the new year.

During their final meeting of 2020 Wednesday morning, the Commissioners voted to have Terry Martin serve as President for the upcoming year. Larry Miller had served as the Commission President during 2020. However, he had not been at the last several meetings as he was recovering from COVID-19. Miller attended Wednesday's meeting via telephone and said it was good to be back home and hear from everyone. He says he has been having an oxygen problem is hoping to get that back under control soon. Miller says he hopes to be able to attend a meeting in person again in the near
future.

The Commissioners did not elect a Vice President. They will do that when they meet for the first time in 2021 and after Kevin Myers is sworn in as the new Middle District Commissioner. He will replace Dennis Kratz. Martin and Miller both thanked Kratz for his time on the Commission. Kratz thanked the people of LaGrange County for electing him to serve. He also thanked Martin and Miller saying while they didn't always agree they were able to work through their differences and get the job done.

Kratz wished Myers well and said he will continue to serve on some County boards.
