BRONSON TOWNSHIP – A Bronson man was arrested on a felony warrant issued by St. Joseph County.

The Branch County Sheriff's Department says they were doing a follow up investigation around 2 PM Friday at a residence on Prairie River Road near Carpenter Road. As deputies approached the house, they saw a man take off running. Following a search, K-9 Deputy Chaos and his handler were called to the scene and tracked the suspect for thirty minutes. The suspect, identified as 39 year old Joshua Barker, was located a quarter of a mile away from the house, hiding near a small wooded area in a field fence line.

Barker was taken into custody on the felony drug warrant charge and then transported to the St. Joseph County Jail. Assisting with the search was the Bronson Police Department.
