AUBURN, IN - The Indiana state police have released more details on Monday’s domestic shooting incident resulting in the death of a woman and man.

The DeKalb County Coroner's Office identified the victims as Heather Lynn Harmon, age 35 of Auburn, and Edward James Conboy, age 37 of Edon, Ohio (formerly residing in Garrett, Indiana). Family for both Harmon and Conboy have been notified.

The preliminary investigation by ISP Troopers revealed that Harmon and Conboy had been involved in a past relationship. Authorities allege Monday's events on Griswold Court in Auburn began with Conboy forcing his way into Harmon's vehicle at gunpoint. During that forced entry, shots were fired by Conboy, which is what resulted in at least one 911 call to the Auburn Police. Detectives believe that Harmon (as the driver) was refusing to stop for police based on coercion. At the conclusion of the vehicle pursuit Conboy shot Harmon and then turned the gun on himself.

The incident still remains as an active investigation. At this time, there is no further information to release.
