An area young woman is one step closer to becoming the future Miss Indiana.
Steuben County’s Elayna Hasty was crowned Miss Northeast Indiana over the weekend. She has taken many of her pageant platforms, such as raising an awareness about bullying, as way to make an effort to help others.
Hasty is a graduate of Angola High School, and now a student at Trine University.
The Miss Northeast Indiana pageant is a local preliminary contest to the Miss Indiana and Miss America Pageants promoting scholarship, service, style, and success of young women.
