Fremont Police Officer Arrested For Criminal Recklessness With A Deadly Weapon

ANGOLA – A Town of Fremont Police Officer was arrested Monday just after 6:30 p.m. at the Steuben County Jail located at 206 E. Gale St.

Officer Adam Meeks turned himself in at the Steuben County Jail after a warrant was issued for his arrest for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon on Monday.

Meeks was arrested by Steuben County Jail Officer Alex Patterson.

He later bonded out paying $300 of a $3,000 CCB bond.

Fremont Town Marshall Joe Patterson said Meeks has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Meeks and his charges are actively being investigated by the Indiana State Police.
