Evansville Home Explodes Killing Three

EVANSVILLIE – A home in Evansville, Indiana exploded on Wednesday, August 8 killing three and damaging at least 39 homes.

According to Evansville Fire Chief Mike Connelly the cause of the explosion remains under investigation calling the process, “tedious.”

One other person was transported to hospital nearby for non-life-threatening injuries, but authorities fear there could possibly be more victims as the buildings are still not safe to enter.

Of the 39 homes which suffered severe to minor damages 11 are described as uninhabitable.

The American Red Cross is on scene and assisting all affected families.
