FORT WAYNE, IN - Most people turn up the thermostat when the weather gets cold outside, but turning the heat up could be a bit more costly during this year’s colder seasons.

NIPSCO announced their projections for how much it will cost people to heat their homes November-March and they say prices are on an incline.

NIPSCO officials say gas market prices are increasing and it’s increasing by 24% Verses last year. As well, the cost of natural gas and delivery keeps rising.

They expect people to have to pay an average of $20 a month more to heat their homes than last year.
