Two LaGrange Teens Among Three Found Dead In Car

ETNA GREEN – Two LaGrange County residents were among three teens pronounced dead in Kosciusko County.

Indiana State Police say they received a call and troopers were sent to the 10800 block of West 900 North in Etna Green just after 3 PM Sunday. They found the three individuals in a vehicle.

Troopers were able to identify the individuals as 16 year old Karen Miller and 16 year old Nathan Yoder, both of Topeka, and 18 year old Robert Bontrager of Rome City. Miller and Yoder were found in the back seat of the vehicle and Bontrager was in the front seat.

Autopsies were performed in Fort Wayne and were overseen by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office. Toxicology results are pending, but preliminary indicators point towards carbon monoxide poisoning.

The investigation is continuing.
