Press Release from Cameron Memorial Community Hospital
ANGOLA – Cameron Memorial Community Hospital announced today that it has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as both a five-star hospital for quality and patient safety, and for patient experience.
Cameron is one of only two hospitals in the state of Indiana to receive five-star ratings in both categories and one of only 14 to receive a five-star for quality. Nationwide, only 15 percent of hospitals received a five-star quality rating.
The CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System is a nationally recognized benchmark that rates hospitals on a scale of 1 to 5 in five areas of quality, mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, and timely and effective care.

High quality care and excellent patient experience is a top focus at Cameron because it helps promote improved health outcomes and satisfaction. When patients have a positive experience, they build trust in their caregivers and their loyalty and engagement in their own care and well-being increases.
Cameron is pleased to have received both five-star ratings reinforcing that the organization is meeting and exceeding the patients' expectations, which is a fundamental goal for any healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality care.
