ANGOLA - The City of Angola announced a street construction and closure notification on Thursday, August 31.
The press released states contractors for the Angola Street Department are currently milling S. Wayne Street from Public Square, "the mound," to Felicity Street.
Travelers are asked to expect both delays and congestion on S. Wayne Street as the section will remain open.
Contractors also will be resurfacing the section of S. Wayne Street on Thursday, September 7.
The community is asked to, "please, expect intermittent closures, delays, and congestion during the resurfacing project as well and avoid the area if at all possible."
Also under construction will is the storm sewer construction project on McKinley Street from W. Maumee Street to the Mill Street intersection.
The city expects the down section of McKinley Street is expected to be reopened early next week.
