FORT WAYNE - A man was shot at the Glenbrook Mall after a disagreement.
The Fort Wayne Police Department said one man was shot in the leg just after noon on Friday, September 1 near the fountains outside of JCPenney.
The shooter and the victim reported had a verbal disagreement resulting in one man shooting the other and then fleeing the scene said witnesses.
Multiple witnesses call 9-1-1 including the victim himself.
The victim is reported to be in stable condition; however, he is not cooperating with police.
Authorities do not have the gunman in custody, but do believe they have leads on the suspect.
Reports stated the incident was an altercation between the suspect and the victim and was not an active shoot situation.
A text message was sent to Glenbrook Mall employees stating, “Please take shelter until cleared by police or mall management. We have a security event in progress.”
