TOPEKA - Both Fremont and Prairie Heights' varsity boys basketball teams lost in their first rounds of the 2024 IHSAA Sectional matches.
The first teams to play were Fremont and Westview.
Westview defeated Fremont 56 to 44.
The second matchup at Westview School Corporation paired Prairie Heights and Churubusco.
Churubusco defeated Prairie Heights 49 to 46.
The second round of sectionals will take place on Friday, March 1.
Angola will go up against Concordia at Woodland High School.
Concordia defeated Garrett 61 to 44 on Tuesday.
Hamilton will go up against Elkhart Christian Academy at Bethany Christian Schools.
Elkhart Christian Academy defeated Bethany Christian 59 to 52 in overtime on Tuesday.
Also, in LaGrange County on Tuesday, Lakeland defeated Wawasee at Lakeland High School 55 to 53.
Lakeland will be against Northwood on Friday at Lakeland High School.
