ANGOLA, IN - Popular songs of the Civil War era will be performed this evening as part of the week long celebration leading up to this weekend unveiling of the new statue on Angola’s public square of abolitionist and pioneer for women’s rights Sojourner Truth.
Tom Adamson and friends will preform “Civil War” songs at Cahoots Coffee House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening.
The Downtown Angola Coalition’s ceremony to unveil a life-size statue of Sojourner Truth will take place on Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m. at the Steuben County Courthouse on the Public Square in downtown Angola.
