ANGOLA - Steuben County Councilman Jim Getz is gearing up to run for a different position in the county.
Getz made things official to run for a seat on the Steuben County Board of Commissioners. He filed the paperwork for the Commissioner race on Thursday.
Kelli Wilder-Johnson, chief deputy in the Steuben County Auditor’s Office and administrative assistant to the Steuben County Board of Commissioners, has filed to take over for her long-time boss, Kim Meyers, who can’t run again due to state term limits.
Also on the Republican ticket for auditor is Brittany K. (Maxton) Bacon, who is payroll clerk in the Auditor’s Office. The two are seeking to replace Meyers, who has served two sets of two terms in office.
The Primary Election will be on May 3rd this year (2022), with General Election Day on November 8th.
