AUBURN, IN — Free vehicle license fees may become a thing of the past for people who travel by horse and buggy in DeKalb County.
The DeKalb County Commissioners plan to increase the license fees for horse-drawn buggies and trailers to $250 a year.
If individuals own more than one, they will have to pay $50 for every extra vehicle.
Commissioners learned Monday that there is an existing ordinance from 40 years ago.
The DeKalb County Commissioners planned on voting a revised ordinance Monday, but realized there were language errors in the ordinance.
The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners will reconvene next week to make a decision on the matter.
