ANGOLA, IN - A man has been found guilty stemming from a police pursuit in December 2020 involving a semi on the toll road.
On Tuesday afternoon, a Steuben Circuit Court jury found 52-year-old Jerome Jirava III guilty of Resisting Law Enforcement by Use of a Vehicle, a Level 6 Felony. The 6-person jury returned its guilty verdict after approximately 40 minutes of deliberations.
He is set for a sentencing hearing on September 19, and faces a maximum possible sentence of 2 ½ years.
The State’s case was presented by Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Travis Musser.
