Pickup Rolls After Friday Crash

GARRETT, IN — A pickup rolled over and was totaled after it was struck by another pickup on Friday.

The crash happened in DeKalb County at the intersection of State Road 205 at County Road 7 south of Garrett at around 7:20 AM.

According to a report from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, a southbound Ford F250 stopped at a stop sign at 205 then proceeded into the intersection, where it struck the rear passenger side of a westbound Ford F150.

Reports indicate the F150, driven by Sara Lester of Fort Wayne, lost control, spun, and then rolled over.

Lester was checked out by medics at the scene, but was reportedly not hurt.

The other driver, identified as Jeremy A. High of Garrett, was not injured.

Authorities say the F150 was totaled in the crash.

The F250 sustained $2,500 in damages.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Garrett Police Department and Parkview EMS.
