ASHLEY, IN - A new half-a-mile stretch of roadway, which honors the namesake of an iconic citizen, has officially opened in Ashley.

Officials with the Town of Ashley have honored the late Randy McEntarfer in naming a newly-paved stretch of roadway McEntarfer Drive. It leads to Brightmark on the town’s east side.

Prior to his passing last February (2021), McEntarfer was an instrumental figure in the community of Ashley and the surrounding area. He served in many roles, including being a member of the Ashley Town Board for 20 years. He was board president for 12 of those years.
