Area golf teams compete in Angola Invitational

(ANGOLA) - Several area golf teams were in action Saturday at the Angola Invitational. Trinity Academy won the event with a team score of 305. Northridge was sixth with a score of 328. Westview was seventh with a 331. Host Angola finished ninth with a score of 341. DeKalb was tenth shooing 341 while Fairfield was 11th with a 343. Fremont came in 12th with a score of 352 and Lakeland was 13th, shooting a 358. Prairie Heights was 15th with a 363 and Garrett was 18th with a team score of 384. Nick Hersel had the low round for the Hornets with an 81. Luke Haarer led Westview with a 78. DeKalb's AJ Shambaugh led the Barons with an 80. Fairfield go a round of 82 from Jake Elliot while Fremont was paced by Jake Hilvers with a 77. Lakeland's low round was posted by Sam Keil with an 85. Prairie Heights got a 75 from Braeden Morr while Garrett's Carter Overbay shot an 82.
