The community is invited to join St. Joseph Church in Garrett as it celebrates its 150th Anniversary on Sunday, June 28, at WestSide Park, 400 W. Edgerton Street, Garrett.
The celebration will begin with Masses at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., followed by a full day of entertainment, food, activities, and fellowship from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Live music will be provided by the Yacht Party Band from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a performance by Todd Herendeen from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Food trucks, including The Dawg House, Coterie Pizza, and Snowbiz, will be located on Ijams Street from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with food and beverages available for purchase.
Visitors will also enjoy:
- Homemade kettle corn
- Children's games and rides
- Face painting
- History Hall
- Campus tours by golf cart
Father Brian will lead church tours from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A cornhole tournament will begin at 1:00 p.m. Entry is $5 per person, with teams drawn randomly. The winner and the church will split the winnings. Participants may pre-register by emailing sarrazine@stjosephgarrett.org, or register in person between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the day of the event.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and gather with friends, family, and neighbors to commemorate 150 years of faith, fellowship, and community service.
In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors to the school gym located at 301 W. Houston Street, Garrett.
