In Indiana Governor, Eric Holcomb's Tuesday coronavirus briefing, Dr. Lindsay Weaver, Indiana State Department of Health chief medical officer issued one simple message for Hoosiers in taking precautions to prevent spread of COVID-19 as people return to work and public spaces which was, "Do it for everybody else."
Much of the state began to reopen on Monday in what is being deemed as Stage 2 in Indiana's five-step "Back on Track" plan which included various stores, and public spaces returning to business for the first time in over six weeks of when the first stay-at-home orders were issued by the governor.
Holcomb went on to emphasize that thinking about how to protect older Hoosiers is extremely timely as people head out from home. Holcomb also said the state's five-step plan is a “road map” and that the progress Indiana makes in controlling COVID-19 will determine how quickly the state moves along that path with the plans to fully reopen.
