BRYAN, OH - The Interim Williams County Sheriff, Gary Mohre, has officially filed paperwork with the county elections office to run as a write-in candidate for the office of Sheriff in the November 5th general election.
Mohre was appointed interim sheriff on March 18. Prior to that he served as police chief of Blakeslee for almost 30 years. He says he has gotten so much support, that he wants to continue to serve.
Mohre’s filing comes after the Williams County Republican Party Tom Kochert was the winner of the April 28 GOP sheriff’s primary race.
The campaign to elect Mohre wasted no time to promote their candidate after his official filing. Signage is in place, and a Facebook page “Gary Mohre for Williams County Sheriff” has also been started.
