INDIANAPOLIS – Health officials say there are 62 new cases of coronavirus and 2 more deaths in Northeast Indiana as of Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Indiana State Department of Health there was a death in Steuben County, which makes 3 people who have died in the county. There were no new cases of the coronavirus, which means 140 people who have tested positive.
Four new cases were reported in LaGrange County. 491 individuals have COVID-19 and there have been 4 deaths.
Noble County has 2 new cases, making 526 individuals who have coronavirus. There have been 28 residents who have died from the virus.
In DeKalb County, there were 2 new cases, which means 171 people have tested positive for coronavirus. And there have been 4 deaths. Elkhart County is reporting another death, which makes 61 people have now died from the virus. There were also 58 new cases, which means 3,720 people now have COVID-19.
Across Indiana, 662 new cases of coronavirus were reported. 52,685 Hoosiers have received positive tests. There were 13 deaths, which makes 2,582 people have died in the state.
The State Department of Health says 578,409 people have been tested for coronavirus with 9.1 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
