MONTPELIER, OH - The Montpelier Village Council approved a power purchase agreement.
In the agreement the village had with the Public Service Enterprise Group called for the pact t to expire at the end of this year.
The new deal will reportedly will help offset market fluctuations for next three years. Village officials in Montpelier say in order to combat fluctuations they entered a Fix Volume Energy Schedule with American Municipal Power.
The agreement is set to purchase a 1 megawatt block of power. This would enable a supply of energy to customers Monday through Friday during the 16 peak hours of the day.
