LAGRANGE, IN - A traffic stop escalated into a short pursuit, which resulted in a man being charged with drug related charges.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department arrested Tyres Johnson Alexander for Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana.

According to deputies, Alexander attempted to evade them by driving away in his vehicle during a traffic stop in the area of 1850 West and State Road 120.

After leading authorities in a short pursuit, his vehicle was stopped and officers brought him to the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office for booking.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon on January 21st, 2023.
