ANGOLA, IN - The Steuben County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a male subject wanted out of Steuben County.
The Steuben Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for 51 year old Donald Gene Squires of rural Howe, IN (issued on On 01/27/2023).
Squires is being charged with 2 counts of OWI causing Death and 1 count of OWI causing Catastrophic Injury. All three alleged offenses are level 4 felonies.
The arrest warrant comes after several months of investigation into a motor vehicle crash that occurred back in August of 2022 on State Road 120 near County Road 850 W in Steuben County's rural Milgrove Township. That crash claimed the lives of a Long Beach Lake couple and left one of their children catastrophically injured.
Squires is described as a white male standing 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 180 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes and may have a beard or goatee.
Squires may have fled the area could possibly be in the Bronson, MI area in Branch County.
He also has an unrelated Steuben County arrest warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor theft allegation.
