ANGOLA — An Angola man who reportedly had more than 2,000 child pornography images in his possession has been formally charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography.
Officials say 35 year old Nolan C. Thomas is facing 20 Level 5 felony counts.
Following an investigation, authorities discovered more than 2,000 videos and images that were classified as child pornography in his possession. Most of the videos and images came from his cellphone.
He was arrested on January 12th.
Formal charges were filed in Steuben Superior Court on February 3rd.
Thomas is presently out on a $50,000 bond.
He will go before Steuben County Judge William Fee on April 10th for an initial hearing. A pretrial conference and jury trial will be set that day.
