(NOBLE COUNTY) – A Noble County man has been arrested on alleged charges of possession of child pornography.
The Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force started an investigation after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing And Exploited Children. A search warrant was served at a residence in the 6,000 block of West County Road 500 North in Ligonier.
As a result of the investigation, 57 year old Greg Riegsecker of Ligonier was arrested on Monday on a Level 5 felony charge of possession of child pornography and a two Level 6 felony charges of possession of child pornography.
Riegsecker is employed as a teacher at West Noble Middle School. However, the investigation has not revealed any evidence at this time that would suggest any local children were involved or depicted in the alleged crimes.
Riegsecker was lodged in the Noble County Jail and is expected to have his initial court appearance Wednesday in Noble County Circuit Court.
The matter remains under investigation.
