
(MASON TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured after striking a deer with their motorcycle.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called out just before 9 PM Tuesday to an accident in Mason Township. The investigation determined that 40 year old Joshua Stillwagon of South Bend was traveling south on Calvin Center Road near Mason Street when a deer ran out in front of him and he struck it.
Stillwagon was injured and taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The SEPSA Fire Department and Edwardsburg Ambulance Company assisted at the scene.
