
(DEKALB COUNTY) – Minor injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash in Northeast Indiana.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 69 year old Kenneth Babusiak of Saint Johns, Indiana was stopped at a stop sign, facing west on County Road 60 and County Road 327 at 2:30 PM Sunday.
Babusiak told deputies he thought it was a four way stop, and pulled out in front of a southbound auto, driven by 42 year old Amy Schenkel of Garrett. Schenkel attempted to swerve to the right, but could not avoid the collision.
Schenkel and her passenger, 76 year old Gloria Didion of Garrett, were taken to an area hospital and were in fair condition.
Babusiak and his passenger, 67 year old Jaqueline Babusiak are both in good condition and were also taken to the hospital to be examined.
Assisting at the scene were the Garrett Fire Department, the LaOtto and Northwest Allen County Fire Departments and Parkview EMS.
