(GOSHEN) – A fantastic honor has been given to a longtime member of the Goshen Fire Department.
Goshen Fire Chief Dan Sink was named the Indiana Fire Chief Of The Year.
Sink has been with the Goshen Fire Department for over 40 years, the last 19 of them as Fire Chief. He is retiring in November.
The City of Goshen released a statement in which Sink said he is both honored and humbled to receive the Fire Chief Of The Year Award. He says what makes this so special is that the nomination comes from the peers you work with in fire service. Sink says he is further honored to represent the Goshen Fire Department and the City of Goshen.
Goshen Fire Department Assistant Chief Anthony Powell will become the new Chief when Sink retires.
