(HARRISON TOWNSHIP) – One person is dead and three people injured in a two vehicle crash in Northern Indiana.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 5:30 PM Friday at the intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 36.
Deputies say a Honda Pilot was heading north on County Road 9 and didn’t stop at the intersection, striking a Chrysler Town and Country that was traveling west on County Road 36. The second vehicle was pushed to the northwest corner of the intersection, then rolled and landed upside down.
The driver of the Chrysler, a 41 year old Wakarusa man and a passenger, a 38 year old Wakarusa women, were taken to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
A second passenger in the Chrysler, 65 year old Ronda Porter of Wakarusa, was flown from the scene by helicopter to the hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The driver of the Honda, a 40 year old Goshen Man, had non life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
