(INDIANA) - Indiana students are searching for math help more than any other subject, according to a new study that analyzed online searches for academic support.

Data from Find a Super Tutor shows math generates about 1,670 help-related searches per month across Indiana, making it the most searched subject in the state. Spanish ranked second, followed by computer programming.

The study examined more than 100 education-related search terms to determine which subjects students are most likely to seek help with outside the classroom. Researchers say the results point to ongoing challenges in core academic areas, especially math.

While the study focused on Indiana, tutoring experts say similar patterns are seen in neighboring states like Michigan and Ohio, where math and language skills also drive high demand for extra academic support.

Find a Super Tutor says the findings can help schools, parents, and tutoring providers better understand where students may be struggling and where additional resources could make the biggest difference.
