(COLDWATER) - Downtown Coldwater will host the return of the annual Love Local event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing food, music and shopping to the city's central business district.
The event features the popular Best of Bowls Soup and Chili Cook-Off, where local restaurants and organizations partner with downtown merchants to offer free samples of a variety of soups and chilis. Attendees can sample entries while voting for their favorites.
In addition to the cook-off, the event includes live music by Russell Gates at the Museum Gallery, family-friendly activities and special in-store promotions from participating businesses. Many merchants will also feature Valentine's Day gift specials.
Those who take part in voting will be entered into a drawing for a Love Local gift basket.
Organizers say the event is designed to encourage residents and visitors to support local businesses while enjoying a festive winter gathering in downtown Coldwater.
