(STEUBEN COUNTY) - Steuben County officials have launched a new public information effort focused on a potential casino resort relocation to northeast Indiana.

County leaders say the Indiana Gaming Commission has identified northeast Indiana as an ideal region for casino relocation, citing unmet market demand and lower competitive risk to existing casino operations elsewhere in the state.

In response, Steuben County Government, the Steuben County Tourism Bureau, and the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation are jointly inviting residents to learn more about the concept through newly launched online resources branded as Steuben - Where Fun Wins.

Officials said the website and accompanying Facebook page are intended to serve as educational tools, outlining what a potential casino resort relocation project could look like and how it might impact the community. The materials do not signal final approval of a project but are designed to provide background information as discussions continue.

County leaders emphasized that the effort is focused on transparency and public awareness as Steuben County explores economic development opportunities tied to tourism, entertainment, and job creation.

Residents are encouraged to review the materials and follow updates as the project concept develops. Here are links to the website at steubenfunwins.com and the companion Facebook page.
