(FORT WAYNE) - Four probationary troopers with the Indiana State Police Fort Wayne District have completed field training and are now patrolling on their own, officials said.

The troopers -- Bryce Kukelhan, Eric Mitchel, Chase Pfefferkorn and Caleb Wooldridge -- received new patrol vehicles as they transition to solo duty following graduation from the agency's 88th Lateral Recruit Class.

State police leaders said the new assignments mark a significant milestone, allowing the officers to apply prior law enforcement experience while serving communities across northeast Indiana.

Officials expressed confidence the troopers will uphold the agency's standards as they begin this next phase of their careers.
