(LANSING) - Governor Gretchen Whitmer will deliver her final State of the State address Tuesday night, outlining her priorities for the year ahead.

The speech begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 inside the Michigan House Chamber, where Whitmer will speak before a joint session of the Michigan House and Senate. The annual address allows the governor to present policy goals and legislative priorities for the coming year.

Whitmer said she plans to share her vision for continuing progress across the state and building a stronger future for Michigan residents.

The address will be broadcast live statewide. Residents can watch via livestream on the official State of the State website, as well as on Facebook and YouTube. Many local television stations -- including PBS affiliates -- will also carry the speech.

This will be Whitmer's final State of the State because Michigan law limits governors to two terms. Whitmer was first elected in 2018 and reelected in 2022.
