(FORT WAYNE) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana received a major boost to its annual Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser with a $10,000 donation from PepsiCo.
The company presented the organization with a Community Impact Award and the check on Sunday as the bowling-based fundraiser continues across the region.
Bowl for Kids' Sake invites teams to raise money in support of one-to-one youth mentoring programs, then participate in bowling events designed to bring the community together for the cause.
PepsiCo is also fielding five teams in this year's fundraiser, further supporting the effort to create new mentoring matches for local youth.
Organizers say strong community participation this season highlights the region's commitment to helping young people reach their full potential.
