(INDIANAPOLIS) -- The Indiana State Fair is stepping up to the plate for 2026.

Organizers have announced next year's theme--"Always a Hit"--along with a new partnership with the Indianapolis Indians, tying the fair to one of the state's most recognizable summer traditions.

The announcement was made at Victory Field during Opening Day festivities.

The collaboration will bring baseball-themed attractions to both the fairgrounds and the ballpark, including a mini "Victory Field" wiffle ball diamond and interactive experiences for fairgoers.

The theme also ties into the nation's 250th birthday celebration, blending baseball and the state fair as two long-standing American traditions.

Governor Mike Braun called the partnership a natural fit, pointing to the shared history and statewide appeal of both organizations.

The 169th Indiana State Fair runs August seventh through the 23rd, with the fairgrounds closed on Mondays.
