(BARRY COUNTY, Mich.) - A 19-year-old Coldwater man is in critical condition after a violent two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Assyria Township, according to WKZO.
The Barry County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 2:44 p.m. near South M-66 and Tasker Road.
Investigators say a northbound Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with a southbound GMC Acadia that was turning east onto Tasker Road.
The force of the crash reportedly ejected multiple passengers from the GMC.
The Coldwater teen was airlifted from the scene by Memorial MedFlight with life-threatening injuries.
Three other people riding in the GMC were also taken to local hospitals by ambulance.
Multiple police, fire and EMS agencies from across Barry County responded to the crash scene.
The Barry County Sheriff's Office says the crash remains under active investigation, and the names of those involved have not yet been released.
