The DeKalb County Horsemen's Association will be hosting a campus-wide open house on Sunday May 17 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the public is invited. The Horsemen grounds are located at 5873 County Road 427, Auburn, Indiana. At 5 p.m. the historic Meese Chapel will be dedicated with a small church service. Numerous activities will be available for attendees of all ages, including:
Food - a full BBQ meal including sides and dessert will be cooked and sold.
Rides- Horse-drawn wagon and carriage rides on the property.
Petting Zoo - for young and old alike.
Tours- The Draft Museum, Mackel Barn and Meese Chapel will be open for tours including a discussion on the history of Meese Chapel for visitors.
Live Music- Bluegrass band "Coyote in the Thicket" will be preforming in the historic Mackel Barn. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy!
