(SALEM, VA) - Trine University senior softball player Karley Trine has been named a recipient of the 2026 NCAA Division III Rawlings Gold Glove Award, becoming the first player in program history to earn the honor.

The award was announced Thursday by Rawlings Sporting Goods Company and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Nine players nationwide receive the award each season, with one player selected at each position. Selections are made by NFCA All-American Committees using video review and fielding statistics.

Trine, a Kokomo native, has started nearly every game in right field for the Thunder during the past four seasons. Entering this week, she carried a perfect fielding percentage during the 2026 season and recorded five outfield assists, tied for the ninth-most on the team.

Offensively, Trine entered the NCAA Division III Softball Championship final site with a .422 batting average, a .436 on-base percentage and a .711 slugging percentage. She also totaled 54 hits, including 13 doubles, three triples and six home runs, while driving in 34 runs.
